These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of our website, booking system, and all training courses or services provided by Maritime Construction Training.

By accessing our website or booking a course, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

Who We Are

Maritime Construction Training is a UK-registered training provider offering accredited and non-accredited courses, including GWO (Global Wind Organisation) training, safety courses, and industry-specific competency training.

Use of Our Website

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and not to:

  • Interfere with the operation of the site

  • Attempt to obtain unauthorised access to any system or data

  • Use the website in a way that could cause harm or disruption

We may update or change any content or functionality on the website at any time.

Booking & Payments

1 Course Bookings

All bookings are made through our online booking system. Once payment is completed, you will receive a confirmation email.

2 Payment Terms

Payment must be made in full at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.

We accept major debit/credit cards and any other payment methods listed on the booking page.

3 Company / Group Bookings

For corporate or group bookings, invoicing may be offered.

Cancellations, Refunds & Transfers

Cancellations by You

  • More than 14 days before the course: Full refund or free transfer

5.2 Non-attendance

Failure to attend without prior notice results in no refund and no free transfer.

5.3 Cancellations by Us

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a course due to:

  • Instructor illness

  • Insufficient numbers

  • Operational or safety reasons

If this happens, you will be offered:

  • A new date

  • A full refund

We are not responsible for travel or accommodation costs.

Course Requirements

Some courses have mandatory prerequisites (e.g., valid GWO certificates). It is your responsibility to ensure you meet these before attending.

We may refuse admission if prerequisites are not met.
No refund will be issued in this case.

Health & Safety

All delegates must comply with our health and safety rules.

We have the right to remove any delegate whose behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate.
No refund will be provided in such cases.

Certificates

Certificates are issued only upon:

  • Full attendance

  • Successful completion of all required assessments

  • Verification of identification

Use of Personal Data

Our use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which complies with UK GDPR.

We will collect and store your data for:

  • Course administration

  • WINDA uploads

  • Legal record requirements

  • Contacting you about your booking

We do not sell your personal data.

Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for:

  • Travel, accommodation, or incidental costs

  • Loss of earnings due to cancellation or rescheduling

  • Any indirect or consequential losses

Our total liability arising from any claim related to a course or booking is limited to the amount you paid for that course.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales.

Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.
