Course Information
You will learn survival techniques and methods of safe transfer between vessels and installations. Theoretical and practical training will give the basic knowledge and skills to act safely and take correct preventative actions in all aspects of offshore operations both during normal operation and in an emergency in an offshore wind energy environment.
Practical Training and Survival Techniques
A key focus of the course is practical training, where participants will demonstrate knowledge through realistic exercises. This includes the use of different life saving appliances, practising water entry techniques, and participating in rescue scenarios.
Delegates will also practise using rescue devices, safety systems, and personal protective equipment, ensuring they can operate effectively in real offshore conditions.
Emergency Response and Safety Procedures
The course reinforces the importance of following emergency procedures and relevant legislation when working offshore. Participants will learn how to act safely and take appropriate action during emergencies, including coordinating rescue efforts and applying first aid treatment where required.
Understanding the limitations of equipment and environmental conditions is also covered to enhance safety awareness.
Equipment and Offshore Safety Systems
Participants will refresh their understanding of personal protective equipment and other safety systems used in offshore environments. This includes equipment used during transfer, evacuation, and rescue operations on vessels and installations.
Training ensures all participants can demonstrate understanding of how to use equipment correctly and safely.
