GWO Working at Height and Manual Handling

Course Information
This course combines both Working at Height and Manual Handling into one course.
Working at Height addresses the unique challenges and risks associated with tasks performed at heights in wind turbine environments. Participants will gain understanding in areas including Personal Fall Arrest Equipment, measures for preventing falls, ladder usage safety, individual and colleague rescue and protocols for handling emergencies.
GWO Manual Handling training is designed to equip individuals in the industry with the necessary skills and knowledge to handle objects and perform tasks in a way that minimises the risk of injuries related to lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.

This course is suitable for any personnel working in the wind industry.
Demonstrate correct manual handling techniques.
Comprehending the potential hazards associated with improper manual handling techniques.
Correctly use personal fall protection equipment (PFPE).
Conducting work at heights while ensuring safety.
Carry out a safe basic height rescue operation in a remote wind turbine environment, while following the Working at Heights standards established by The GWO.A valid WINDA ID is required.
Safety footwear is required for all practical sessions.
A general standard of fitness is required.
Photographic ID Card, such as a drivers licence or passport.After successfully finishing the course, participants will receive a GWO-approved Manual Handling and Working at Height certificate, which remains valid for a duration of two years. To maintain their certification, delegates are required to undergo GWO Manual Handling and Working at Height Training again before the certificate's expiration date.
Registration and Welcome: The day typically begins with registration, where participants confirm their attendance and receive any necessary training materials or equipment.
Safety Briefing: A safety briefing is conducted to highlight the importance of adhering to safety protocols throughout the training session and in our centre.
Catering: Lunch will be provided to all delegates.Participants or individuals booking the course are responsible for ensuring that they meet all the necessary prerequisites and provide the required evidence, such as valid certificates for revalidation courses, on the first day of the course.
Failure to fulfill any of these prerequisites may lead to the participant being requested to leave the course. Please note that no refunds will be issued in such cases.
